Personal Beliefs – The Core Principles of Monastic Jediism
A Comprehensive Guide to the Spiritual Teachings of Monastic Jediism
Introduction
Monastic Jediism is a unique spiritual path that combines the principles and tenets of Jediism with the teachings of Hermeticism and various other mystical traditions. The beliefs serve as a foundation for personal growth, self-discovery, and the cultivation of the Force. So far this is merely my own personal path. I say we at times, in the hope that one day I will be joined by other Monks. For now it’s me and my connection to the All – my Body.
Belief in the Force
The Force is the universal energy that permeates and connects all living things. It is an omnipresent, divine essence that guides and shapes our reality. Monastic Jediism teaches us to understand and harness the power of the Force, using it for personal growth and the greater good.
The Jedi Tenets
The Jedi Tenets provide the moral and ethical framework for our spiritual practice. These principles encourage self-reflection, compassion, and a dedication to personal growth. By aligning our actions with these tenets, we can develop a greater sense of purpose and harmony in our lives.
The tenets are:
a. Focus – Cultivate mindfulness and awareness in all aspects of life.
b. Knowledge – Pursue wisdom and understanding through continuous learning.
c. Serenity – Strive for inner peace and balance.
d. Harmony – Promote unity and cooperation within our community and the world.
e. The Force – Develop a deep connection with the Force and use it to guide our actions.
The Hermetic Principles
Hermeticism is an ancient philosophical and spiritual tradition that offers valuable insights on self-mastery, mental alchemy, and the cultivation of will. The seven Hermetic principles serve as a guide for personal transformation, enabling us to enhance our understanding of the Force and manifest positive change in our lives. These principles are:
a. The Principle of Mentalism – All is mind; the universe is mental.
b. The Principle of Correspondence – As above, so below; as within, so without.
c. The Principle of Vibration – Everything is in motion; everything vibrates.
d. The Principle of Polarity – Everything has its opposites; opposites are identical in nature but differ in degree.
e. The Principle of Rhythm – Everything flows in cycles and patterns.
f. The Principle of Cause and Effect – Every cause has its effect, and every effect has its cause.
g. The Principle of Gender – Gender exists in everything; masculine and feminine principles work together to create balance.
